Al "Stankie" Stankiewicz

HOW IT ALL STARTED

Alfred "Stankie" Stankiewicz is a retired USA Pro Boxer and a legendary boxing coach. His boxing career was from 1968 to 1974 with 25 Pro bouts. He then had a career training boxers and MMA fighters. Al trained Olympic Gold Medalists, Paul Gonzales in 1984 and Oscar De La Hoya in 1992. He also trained Ultimate Fighting Champion Vitor Belfort in boxing and was Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira's boxing coach on The Ultimate Fighter.

I met Al Stankie back in the 90s. He taught boxing in the MMA Program at my studio in Riverside. When I opened my Academy in Moreno Valley, Al was the head coach from 2006 to 2010 when he retired. He was a great asset to United Boxing Academy. All of my boxing technique, skill, wisdom and knowledge came from Al. I wouldn't have a successful boxing academy today if it wasn't for Al Stankie.
